DASH Upward provides multiple tools and training opportunities that can be accessed from work, home, or in a face-to-face setting. We strive to encourage Educators, Families, and Communities to help their students have a positive mindset, overcome challenging situations, and use critical thinking skills to promote social, emotional, and academic growth. We offer strategies that can be used 24/7 to encourage the next generation to be global thinkers, problem solvers, and strategic planners. Social and Emotional Learning can be linked to improving all academic areas to help students thrive in their classrooms, homes, neighborhoods. Building a community that is tailored with respect, tenacity, balance, and peace promotes long-term learning. Each adult who is a part of a child’s life serves as a role model, and we work together with you to provide positive partnerships at all levels.

Michon Henegar
Michon is the Founder and President of DASH Upward. She understands the importance that each individual in the community offers to create healthy and viable environments for the next generation. Prior to the founding of DASH Upward, Michon served in the field of Education as a Teacher and School Administrator. Her experience includes teaching Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, and High School. She has also owned and operated her own Child Care Center. She enjoys training and coaching educators, parents, and community members on topics that build strong communities and address current issues.
Michon has her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Wayland Baptist University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. Over the past 28 years, she has provided multiple districts, schools, parents, and community members training, coaching, and consulting to advance their practices in empowering the next generation to success.
